Collection: EDWARD (TEDDY) PAYNE

EDWARD (TEDDY) PAYNE's roots are in Constable country (Suffolk & Norfolk counties in Eastern England) and his watercolours of Stratford, Ontario and the surrounding countryside show this early influence. Although his work represents local and familiar scenes, there is a hint of another time and place that is delicately and wistfully conveyed. He completed his Art education at St. Martins School of Art in London where he studied drawing and commercial illustration. Teddy has exhibited in several of Agora Gallery's group exhibitions and has been a regular and popular exhibitor at Stratford's Art in the Park for decades. He is also an accomplished author who has worked, travelled and lived around the world and served in the Royal Navy during the second world war.
